leaves of lifelook at me,leaves of life by ~deadmeat888
so strong and bright,
sitting here safely in my spot,
upon the place ive been given.
the cold is cooming,
we can all feel it,
the mother stopped nursing us,
we all turn color,
i see my friends fall,
and soon its my turn,
for i am their color too,
the mother makes us fall,
from our branches,
telling us one thing,
"i need the nutrients myself",
but i dont mind,
ive served her with my life,
knowing she will survive another year,
standing tall as a tree.

The story of Red DeathRed Death devastated the countryThe story of Red Death by ~XxUltraVomitxX
None had been so fatal
Sharp pains
Sudden dizziness
Profuse bleeding at the pores,
Dissolution
Scarlet stains upon the body
Progress of the disease
Prince Prospero
Dauntless and sagacious
Through gates of iron
Buffoons,
Impovisatori,
Ballet-dancers,
Musicians,
Beauty,
& the contagion
All entered
A voluptuous scene, that masquerade
The rooms in which it was held
An imperial suite of
Tall narrow Gothic window
A closed corridor pursued the windings of the suit
Seven rooms
A blue room of vividly blue windows
A purple chamber of its ornaments and tapestries
A room with casements of green
Orange, furnished and lig

Dissertation on the Theory of Undefined RelativetyA rock sits bouncing in the shade,Dissertation on the Theory of Undefined Relativety by ~Windaddyflex
Two birds cry drear where death is laid.
The Gopher blinks away a tear,
The trees are drunk on gin and beer.
Crystal gleams in caves so clear,
The bourgeois crabgrass sidles near.
A horse to ride, to near to creep,
The Frog abstains from blessings steep.
“My sonny Jim, your futures grim”
The Madrigal repents.
A king crab’s cone, through leaves and loam,
Impaled on barbed wire fence.
The light so airy, warming Fairy’s
Wings of silk and Teak.
The day was on, a fearful pong,
The sharks in ruffles shique.
Of kings and tar and places far
Away the baron’s sheep.
His servants dea

A Journey Set in StoneJoyful cheering surrounds the crew,A Journey Set in Stone by ~Windaddyflex
They laughed and waved for they all knew
Their voyage could yield naught but success,
The masthead smiling,
Most beguiling,
Mermaid in a purple dress.
A butcher from the Isle of Wight,
Strong of body, keen of sight,
And a Welshman trained in braiding rope,
A grumpy cook,
Who lost his book,
And always forgot to grab the soap.
The Carpenter who brought his saw
To fight the monster’s gaping maw,
For extra luck they brought a goat,
Directed by,
A psychic fly,
To keep the wooden ship afloat.
They were commanded by the captain aged
Who kept a cricket in a cage,
So the sleeping men would dream of land,

Childhood DepartsHis Little Princess had now departedChildhood Departs by *Rifle1980
She was lay face down in a tranquil pond
The dead water of which was her worries
That he tried so hard to rescue her from
The lead weight of life and her memories
Had dragged her down to new depths and held sway
Bringing her to that body of water
In which her callow body was now lay
His Little Princess had now departed
Her vapid throne vacant for evermore
Father passed her the key of his wisdom
Too afraid was she to open the door
Had she hung on a little while longer
She would have seen there was a better place
That her childhood was just a stepping stone
Towards a life that is far less debased

A Poem For My Love.I hug my pillow every night, wishing it was you.A Poem For My Love. by ~tabbycat1212
Dreaming, longing for your touch. I hope it soon comes true.
I dream of being in your arms and that you're here with me.
Then I wake and start to cry. Damn you, reality.
When I call and hear your voice, my lips form a smile.
I can handle this for now. It's only for a while.
Eventually, I'll be with you, though it will take time.
I'll steal you from your lonely world and bring you into mine.
Together we'll be happy. A major change, I know.
No longer separated by a screen, our love will only grow.
To have our fingers intertwine. Oh can't you see it, love?
Your hands, since they're bigger, pr

Hypochondriac"Dearest darkness," writes he,Hypochondriac by ~thePhoenixHound
And it's all that must be said
By the form in black who cannot see
Past the ropes around his head.
Of the surroundings that stretch beyond him,
He knows only the plaintive cries
Of figures cloaked, their eyes dead, dim,
Constrained by worlds of chains and sighs.
He sees only inky plague, death
And flurries of cruel disease,
Mothers weeping, left bereft;
He smells the stumps of burned-down trees.
He cannot - will not - fathom,
The horrors that lie in wait,
For that reason sits he within the darkness of his cavern,
Listens to the river roaring in its spate.
And so, "Dearest darkness," writes the man
Who knows nothing of the dark,
With pencil poorly gripped in his shaking hand,
Barely able to make a mark.
"Dearest darkness," repeats the figure once again
Retreating from all the lanky, twisted shades
That fill his meager den,
Leave him stranded and afraid.
He is completely uninformed and unaware
Of the things that lurk outside,
But knows he must defend agains
